Vocal Feminization Classes
Course Description
Join us for what may prove to be the most growth-producing and exciting class you have ever taken. Vocal feminization classes are challenging but highly effective. We invite students to fully embrace this 8-week program which, with effort, promises the production of a natural-sounding, feminine voice. The voice is the chief gender cue which allows trans women to blend into society, as the women they are.
Some students find it important, and even necessary, to enroll in more than 1 class to continue their growth and polish accomplishments. Graduates of the voice program visit to demonstrate their vocal prowess and to conduct Q&A sessions. They have internalized the knowledge that confidence, openness and a sense of personal freedom underlie success in transition.
Our Program Consists Of:
- Learning basic speaking techniques, including breathing, posture, correction of any personal, or physical habits which interfere with the production of a feminine sound, and helpful singing techniques which assist in the production of a feminine speaking voice.
- Learning how to relax and reduce social anxiety with classmates and instructors.
- Undertaking simple, improvisational exercises, confidence–producing approach .
- Experiencing vocal demonstrations from graduates of the program .
- Learning how and why the voice is the most essential part of blending into society as a woman.
